GC's "WHAT IS IT?"

"WHAT IS IT?" is a visual monthly challenge that is intended to test one's knowledge of Greensboro College's history, educate one about the history of the college and be a challenging, but fun and entertaining, diversion. Each image will be related, in some way, shape or form, to the history of Greensboro College. The monthly challenge is open to anyone. The first person to correctly answer each month will receive a 5"x7" photo print of that month's visual challenge.

The prize for correctly answering this month's challenge goes to Patsy Sellers, director of academic development.

ANSWER:
The image above shows the chapel in Main Building between the years 1873-1904.

Between 1873-1904, the chapel occupied the second (main chapel floor) and third floor (balcony/gallery) of the rear of Main Building's center section.

To visualize this today, you need to picture the second and third floors of Main Building's rear center hallway and mentally remove the offices and walls on both sides of the hallway.
