GC's "WHAT IS IT?"

"WHAT IS IT?" is a visual monthly challenge that is intended to test one's knowledge of Greensboro College's history, educate one about the history of the college and be a challenging, but fun and entertaining, diversion. Each image will be related, in some way, shape or form, to the history of Greensboro College. The monthly challenge is open to anyone. The first person to correctly answer each month will receive a 5"x7" photo print of that month's visual challenge.

The prize for correctly answering this month's challenge goes to Rusty Fields, a former Middle College student who is now a member of the Freshman class here at the college.

ANSWER:
Pictured above is a paper silhouette (found in the 1921 ECHO) of Rev. Dr. Samuel B. Turrentine, the college's ninth president between 1913-1945.
