GC's "WHAT IS IT?"

"WHAT IS IT?" is a visual monthly challenge that is intended to test one's knowledge of Greensboro College's history, educate one about the history of the college and be a challenging, but fun and entertaining, diversion. Each image will be related, in some way, shape or form, to the history of Greensboro College. The monthly challenge is open to anyone. The first person to correctly answer each month will receive a 5"x7" photo print of that month's visual challenge.

The prize for this month's challenge goes to Pam Bennett, executive assistant to the director of the teacher education program.

ANSWER:
Pictured above is a side view of the old Y-Hut (circa 1944) showing the entrance to the library when it was housed in that building. The Y-Hut was later added onto and became known as the Student Center or "the Stu."
