"WHAT IS IT?" is a visual monthly challenge that is intended to test one's knowledge of Greensboro College's history, educate one about the history of the college and be a challenging, but fun and entertaining, diversion. Each image will be related, in some way, shape or form, to the history of Greensboro College. The monthly challenge is open to anyone. The first person to correctly answer each month will receive a 5"x7" photo print of that month's visual challenge.

Pictured above is a photo (1911) of the "Senior Book Burial." This was a short-lived tradition in which the senior class girls would bury their text books. In 1911, Miss Winnie Burton even went so far as to compose a funeral oration for the senior books.
