"WHAT IS IT?" is a visual monthly challenge that is intended to test one's knowledge of Greensboro College's history, educate one about the history of the college and be a challenging, but fun and entertaining, diversion. Each image will be related, in some way, shape or form, to the history of Greensboro College. The monthly challenge is open to anyone. The first person to correctly answer each month will receive a 5"x7" photo print of that month's visual challenge.

This is the "Language Lab" in the Cowan Building, second floor I think.
ReplyDeleteThe prize for correctly answering this month's challenge goes to Pam McKirdy (Associate Vice President for Technology) and Dr. Barnes Tatum (Jefferson-Pilot Professor of Religion and Philosophy Emeritus). Their answers were received at almost exactly the same time.

Pictured above is the "new language laboratory", circa 1965. From a college publication, "Students in the foreign languages at GC are having a new experience since a language laboratory was installed in the Arts and Science Building." That location was temporary until Cowan Humanities Building was completed, at which time the language lab was move there.
